Level One
Highest Cleanliness
Class 100 / ISO 5 / Grade A & B
Suitable for up to and including Class 100 / ISO 5 / Grade A & B cleanrooms.
Offers the highest level of cleanliness available for today’s critical environments.
Cleaned with in-line, sub-micron, MicroClean 10, web cleaning system which breaks down the static layer–allowing both sides of label stock to be cleaned ultrasonically.
Level TWO
Standard Cleanliness
Class 10,000 / ISO 7 / Grade C Cleanrooms
Suitable for up to and including Class 10,000 cleanrooms.
Offers cleanroom packaging ideal for keeping products safe from environmental contamination.
Double bagged in certified silicone-free MDPE.

They are typically made from plastic synthetics like polypropylene, polyester, or polyimide (Kapton). Standard wood-pulp paper is never used because it naturally sheds fibers. In addition, roll labels are wound on a plastic core rather than a cardboard core.
Labels are packaged and rated based on ISO 14644-1 cleanliness classes. Check the manufacturer’s certification data to match your specific cleanroom threshold.
Thermal transfer is highly preferred. Direct thermal labels can easily degrade during autoclave sterilization or chemical wipe-downs. Thermal transfer with a full resin ribbon provides the chemical and heat resistance required for cleanroom environments.
